Hi, I'm Dahlyt.

It didn't take long for me to discover that my true professional calling was to be a midwife. First working as a birth doula in New York and New Jersey, I saw clearly that how a birth was handled by the primary clinical caregiver dramatically affects everyone involved: moms, babies, dads, extended families. I saw the difference that a loving, safe, supportive environment makes for women in pregnancy and birth, and how a respectful partnership with a caregiver could create that. So I dedicated my life to serving in this way, and I strive to do it with excellence in clinical care, open communication, and in a spirit of close partnership with the families I serve.

I received my direct entry midwifery degree from Birthwise Midwifery School, a MEAC (Midwifery Education Accreditation Council) accredited program in Bridgton, Maine.  I apprenticed with Jessica Lawlor, CPM, LM (and many other New Jersey based midwives) for the clinical part of my program. I volunteered at a birth center in Uganda for my high risk training.  I became a Certified Professional Midwife in November 2013, after passing the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) Exam.  I am licensed by the board of medical examiners in New Jersey.

I also hold a B.S. in Business Management and Finance from Brooklyn College and a degree from Seymour Joseph Institute for American Sign Language.
